The Juneau Icefield Research Program (JIRP) is gauging community interest in JIRP hosting an annual graduate-level field training program. This program would operate independently from our predominantly undergraduate-serving program, specifically catering to graduate-level academics and research.

The recent increase in program applications from graduate students prompted the inception of this potential program. We are actively pursuing funding to offer the new program at a reduced cost to graduate students. Additionally, we are eager to support faculty interested in budgeting for graduate student training opportunities with JIRP in their upcoming proposals.
