The Juneau Icefield Research Program (JIRP), along with its parent organization the Foundation for Glacier and Environmental Research (FGER), relies on the support of a wide variety of individuals and organizations. There are many ways to support our mission- we welcome donations of time, equipment, and mentorship, as well as financial support. We have had highly successful 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022 field seasons due to both the 40,000+ volunteer hours donated by faculty and staff and the many donations from alumni, their families, and individuals who believe in the worth of the program. Please consider supporting JIRP in whatever way you can. Together we are doing critical work training the rising generation of Earth scientists, teachers, artists, science communicators, and field technicians.
Donate
JIRP and FGER rely heavily on charitable contributions to provide an unparalleled educational and expeditionary experience. We deeply appreciate on donations both big and small to sustain Icefield programming. If you would like to donate, we accept checks made out to FGER at our Seattle address (below), or credit card donations through PayPal. We accept donations to two funds to operate our regular field season: the ‘M3 Fund for Operations, Facilities, and Science’ and the ‘Joan W. Miller Scholarship Fund’ to support student financial aid.
