The Foundation for Glacier and Environmental Research is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We rely heavily on charitable contributions to provide an unparalleled educational and expeditionary experience. We deeply appreciate donations both big and small to sustain Icefield programming. If you would like to donate, we accept credit card donations or checks made out to FGER at our Seattle address (info below).

M³ General Operating Fund
The M³ General Operating Fund is named for JIRP's founder and longtime director, Maynard Malcolm Miller. The M³ Fund goes to support JIRP's general operations: staffing, facilities maintenance, and all the little things that make JIRP function. Thank you to those who choose to donate to this fund and keep JIRP running!
Joan W. Miller Student Scholarship Fund
Joan Walsh Miller was the logistics mastermind behind JIRP for decades. She supported more than 1,500 students and 400 associated faculty and staff during her involvement with the program. In 2013, JIRP launched the Joan W. Miller Scholarship Fund to support incoming students. We are grateful to generous alumni and donors who support this fund in Joan’s name.
