If you are bringing research equipment up to the Juneau Icefield in addition to your personal equipment, please fill out this form. This form has space for seven packages. If you are bringing more than that, fill it out twice.

There is a separate form for shipping packages to Juneau.

Note: we measure cargo in inches and pounds to communicate efficiently with the helicopter company.

Role *
If you are research faculty, with which team are you working?
Overall description
How many boxes/packages/crates are you sending up to the Icefield? Do not include personal equipment.
What is the approximate total weight of all the equipment?
Does it contain any perishable (either on the way in or the way out)? Please describe anything that can't melt, freeze, requires refrigeration, etc.
Does it contain any hazardous materials? Please describe explosives, volatiles, pressurized containers, large batteries, etc.
Does the equipment contain any fragile packages? Many items are flown up in a sling load hanging below the helicopter, but there is always room for more careful handling with items inside the helicopter. The pilots we work with are skilled and as careful as possible with the sling loads, but we don't put fragile items in the sling loads.
Anything else we should know about handling and care?
